An evolution of the TERRAULTRA G 260, inov-8 have made several small, yet crucially detailed, improvements have made a big difference. Those improvements include the improved use of revolutionary Graphene-Grip rubber and a new plush cushioning foam that gives greater energy return for longer to get voted best trail shoe 2020 in several reviews.
[I did notice however, that while Inov-8 state the weight of the Terraultra G 260 as 260 g (9.17 oz), Running Warehouse lists the weight of the plain-jane Terraultra 260 as 9.0 oz, whereas the graphene-enhanced version tested here (Terraultra G 260) is said to be 9.8 oz. If RW numbers are right, that graphene must be heavy stuff!)
Dom: Traditionally, the numbers in Inov-8’s shoe names refers to the weight of the shoe. So e.g. the Terrraultra G 300 should weigh 300 g. So e.g. the Terrraultra G 300 should weigh 300 g. But whereas the TUG270 came in right around its advertised weight, the TUG300 was vastly over, at 358 g per shoe (in US M10).

Inov-8 Terra Ultra G270 (RTR Review) Mike P (10.0): VJ Ultra is the big brother to this shoe. Higher drop, more cushion, more protection, even better traction. I would probably choose the G 270’s for faster trail marathon/50Ks, but beyond that, VJ Ultra all day. G270 feels nice and wide in the front, and you can get a good lock down fit.
